Carolina

Each week, you will have the opportunity to see the faces of real people that you are helping to make real changes for. Though poverty and brokenness are detrimental in the inner city of Los Angeles, there are ways that you can help countless families and individuals get their lives restored- block by block.

Carolina - A mother in South Central, L.A.

Carolina was on the brink of poverty after her husband was facing inevitable unemployment. In addition, her daughter was also experiencing difficult times, and moved into Carolina’s apartment with her own daughter. In the middle of their efforts to get by, this family received tangible and spiritual help from The Dream Center. Carolina says, “I couldn’t have made it without The Dream Center.”

Gina - A mother in the Rampart District

It was not very long ago that Gina almost lost her children to the foster care system. It was a struggle for her to keep her four children fed before The Dream Center’s Project Prevention ministry came alongside her. She has risen up and made the best of her unfortunate situation, but she still needs our help.

Eddie & Phyllis

Each week, you will have the opportunity to see the faces of real people that you are helping to make real changes for. Though poverty and brokenness are detrimental in the inner city of Los Angeles, there are ways that you can help countless families and individuals get their lives restored- block by block.

Eddie and Phyllis - A couple living in a SRO hotel

Unconditional love is the best gift that those who are broken and hopeless can experience. Eddie and Phyllis are a couple who live in a Single Room Occupancy hotel in downtown L.A. They have been constantly ill because their small apartment is infested with mold and mildew. They have tolerated it and rarely leave their rooms, but the Adopt-A-Block ministry of The Dream Center has provided them with necessary food and prayer. This couple is gradually becoming healthier, and is finding the strength to get out of their room for some fresh air.
